Dump Truck Safety Camera Systems

Addressing the issue of real-time safety monitoring and management during dump truck transportation to improve the safety level of the transportation industry is a pressing social concern. The development of modern technology and communication, especially the maturity of 3G/4G/GIS technologies and the widespread application of GPRS wireless communication technology, provides effective tools for vehicle management in dump truck enterprises. By integrating 3G/4G wireless networks and the internet, dump truck companies can optimize resource allocation and enhance market competitiveness. To meet market demands, these companies need to apply advanced technology and modern management to improve operational efficiency and quality. Therefore, equipping dump trucks with 3G/4G onboard devices is essential as it can address management gaps and enhance transportation efficiency.

Dump Truck Safety Camera Systems

Compared to existing GPS systems, the dump truck monitoring system developed by China's YUWEI not only tracks and records the vehicle's geographical location but also monitors and records the entire process of the vehicle's operation and the staff's work. It supervises whether the driver is operating in violation of regulations, monitors driver behavior, road conditions, and blind spots, and provides warnings. Additionally, sensors monitor the status of the dump truck. With the help of the 4G wireless monitoring system, managers can understand the vehicle's location and status in real time. In case of an accident, the system can record images inside and outside the vehicle and send them to the command center via 4G wireless transmission, while also recording and saving the data to provide evidence for accident handling and responsibility tracing.

The dump truck transportation dispatch center monitors and manages the fleet in real time and plans to install GPS/BD equipment with two-way voice intercom on the dump trucks. Through the 4G communication network, an integrated system will be established for the company's dispatch center to supervise the dispatching of transportation vehicles, pump trucks, and cement trucks, and monitor operation points, achieving timely voice dispatch and precise GPS positioning.

The main requirements include:

- Speeding alarms for dump trucks

- Overload and leakage detection

- Monitoring of dumping outside designated areas

- DSM driver behavior detection

- ADAS driving warnings

- Vehicle and driver identification

- Blind spot monitoring and warnings

- Vehicle alarm linkage management

- Reversing video

- Voice intercom

- Operation route monitoring

- 3G/4G video transmission

Introduction to the Dump Truck Safety Camera System

The dump truck onboard monitoring system is a vehicle command and control system that integrates GPS positioning, fleet management, and information transmission. It is suitable for units with a large number of vehicles that lack remote real-time command and dispatch.

Structure of the Dump Truck Camera System

The entire dump truck intelligent monitoring system consists of three parts: the server software platform, the commander monitoring client, and the front-end onboard monitoring collection system.

- Server Software Platform: Comprising a communication server, database server, central database, and GPRS transceiver server, it is responsible for collecting, processing, storing, and forwarding vehicle GPS satellite onboard terminal positioning information and alarm information, responding to and processing client software commands, and achieving platform data management, including user management, grouping management, vehicle basic information management, and log statistics.

- Monitoring Client: Consisting of a laptop and monitoring client software, it performs real-time monitoring of vehicles and various historical data inquiries, setting, receiving, and processing vehicle alarms. Users can conduct real-time surveillance, GPS/BDS positioning, video storage, vehicle dispatching, DSM warnings, ADAS warnings, BSD warnings, vehicle lifting, and roof sealing safety monitoring and prevention tasks. It achieves wireless remote real-time video monitoring, GPS/BD map positioning, vehicle historical driving trajectory playback, voice intercom, alarm linkage, alarm analysis, vehicle status monitoring, remote video storage, remote video downloading, remote video playback, vehicle area management, remote vehicle upgrading, vehicle SMS sending, rich vehicle reports (speed, oil level, etc.), and alarm information viewing.

- Front-end Onboard Monitoring Collection System: Includes 4G onboard terminal, DSM camera, ADAS camera, BSD blind spot camera, regular surveillance camera, Android internal screen, vehicle display screen, LED display, load sensor, sound and light alarm, lifting sensor, sealing sensor, and oil level sensor. The onboard terminal is installed on the vehicle, responsible for receiving satellite signals, sending vehicle location information, collecting and forwarding fault data, and responding to remote client commands, thus achieving vehicle management and control. The onboard terminal can also be equipped with an information transmission screen to facilitate simple operational planning and command sending between command vehicles.
