BDS Vehicle Management System
The Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) Management System is a vehicle positioning and tracking management platform developed to meet the current demands of vehicle information management. It enables real-time tracking of vehicles and cargo, effectively integrating information from all participants in the transportation industry, including cargo owners, freight agents, and drivers. This system reduces empty vehicle rates, maximizes vehicle deployment, monitors fuel consumption and mileage for each vehicle, improves transportation efficiency, and lowers transportation costs.
Through the AVL management system, users at the monitoring center can conduct full-process monitoring of all vehicles. It provides real-time vehicle location display, trajectory playback, and supports retrieval of information such as parking location, parking duration, and travel speed. The monitoring center can also handle vehicle dispatching and personnel management, effectively controlling fleets, reducing costs, increasing revenue, enhancing vehicle and personnel safety, and ensuring a higher level of service.
Applications of the Vehicle Tracking and Management System
1. Real-Time Vehicle Location and Driving Data Query
Users can select individual vehicles, groups, or all vehicles for tracking. The selected vehicles’ real-time location and driving data are reported to the management center. Location information includes latitude and longitude, while driving data includes time, speed, direction, device faults, and empty/full load status.
2. Real-Time Monitoring of Vehicle Driving Status
The management center can monitor individual vehicles, groups, or all vehicles. Vehicle terminals report driving status and real-time location information at preset intervals, enabling continuous real-time vehicle monitoring.
3. Historical Trajectory Upload and Playback
Historical trajectory data stored in the vehicle terminal can be extracted wirelessly by the management center for storage. Trajectory points can be replayed on the center’s electronic map to reproduce the vehicle’s journey.
4. Alarm Function
Vehicle terminals are equipped with an emergency alarm switch. In emergencies (e.g., robbery or distress situations), pressing the button immediately sends an alert to the management center. The center receives the alert and notifies on-duty personnel with both audio and text prompts. Integrated electronic maps provide real-time location and complete information for timely response and handling.
5. Voice Monitoring
In special situations (e.g., hijacking), the vehicle terminal can automatically dial a designated fixed or mobile number, allowing the monitoring center to listen in. The center can also initiate a call to monitor in-vehicle audio. Terminals can be set to: allow any monitoring or allow monitoring only after an alarm.
6. Remote Fuel/Electricity Cut-Off
Vehicle terminals can be equipped with fuel/electricity cut-off devices. In confirmed emergencies or other special circumstances, the management center can send a remote cut-off command. Upon receiving the command, the terminal disables fuel/electricity supply, preventing the vehicle from starting.
7. Text Display and Response
With an external Chinese LCD screen, the vehicle terminal can communicate with the management center for vehicle dispatch, responses, and message sending/receiving.
8. Geofencing/Over-Speed Alarm
The terminal stores settings for geofencing and speed limits. During operation, if the vehicle exceeds the speed limit, an over-speed alert is immediately sent to the monitoring center. The system can also define active regions, with the terminal sending an alert when the vehicle enters or exits these areas. The management center records the alert and notifies personnel via audio and text prompts, accompanied by electronic map location data for complete and timely response. When the vehicle approaches the preset speed limit, an internal buzzer alerts the driver.
