Mobile DVR F&Q

What is mobile DVR?

The term "mobile DVR" refers to a DVR system designed for use in a vehicle. Unlike traditional DVRs that are located in fixed locations, mobile DVRs allow for remote management. It can support real-time positioning, historical trajectories, file download and playback, and vehicle fusion.

The vehicle-mounted mobile hard disk video recorder adopts advanced video coding technology and can perform digital-to-analog conversion, compression and data storage. It may also be equipped with equipment such as GPS positioning, audio and video monitoring, and wireless network transmission. These properties make them useful in a variety of situations.

The benefits of mobile hard disk recorders are obvious. In addition to reducing fleet costs, mobile DVRs can improve safety and aid in accident forensics.

How mobile DVR works?

In the past, the transmission capabilities of hard disk recorders limited their innovation. Unlike Wi-Fi, where bandwidth can fluctuate, 4G and 5G networks make them more reliable and able to support advanced features. Traditional hard disk video recorders cannot transmit data in real time, but hard disk video recorders can do it and can even support intercom functions and other in-vehicle functions.

The hard disk video recorder works by drawing power from the vehicle's power supply. This power supply is unstable, so the DVR needs to be built to withstand these fluctuations. It can also withstand vibrations that a regular hard disk recorder may encounter. To keep the device running for a long time, its power cord has metal wires inside it to protect the core and help it function properly. After purchasing, you can use it to record important events while driving.

Advantages of Mobile DVR

Combined with driving recorder

While mobile DVRs may not be the next generation of security cameras, they do offer advantages over traditional models. For example, mobile DVRs can be used in conjunction with dash cams installed throughout a fleet. These cameras provide high-quality video and accurate data, which is especially useful when tracking assets.

Remote monitoring

The main benefit of a vehicle-mounted mobile DVR is the ability to monitor assets even when they are not on site. Unlike conventional hard disk video recorders, mobile hard disk video recorders can work continuously despite frequent vibrations and unstable power supply. Therefore, they can be placed inside the car and are not easily damaged. Additionally, mobile DVRs are extremely reliable even in rocky terrain.

Automatic alarm

Another benefit of a vehicle-mounted mobile hard disk recorder is its ability to provide evidence of traffic accidents and terrorist attacks. It can also upload alarm information to the control center.

Long life and reliable

Finally, a good-quality mobile hard disk recorder has a long lifespan and stable performance, which can help you reduce maintenance costs. This is why choosing a quality model is so important. Mobile DVRs have several advantages, including durability, high-resolution video, and high-quality audio.
