360-Degree Panoramic Imaging Blind Spot Warning System for Trucks

Large vehicles such as trucks, lorries, trailers, and semi-trailers often have numerous blind spots due to their size, posing significant safety risks. For drivers of such vehicles, eliminating blind spots and receiving early warnings are critical issues that need to be addressed. As one of China's top ten commercial vehicle IoT product suppliers, YUWEI leverages the latest IoT technologies, smart hardware solutions, and AI capabilities to introduce the 360-Degree Panoramic Imaging Monitoring System, aimed at solving blind spot problems for large vehicles.

Introduction to the 360-Degree Panoramic Imaging Monitoring System

The YUWEI 360-Degree Panoramic Imaging Monitoring System consists of:

- A vehicle smart host terminal

- Panoramic surround cameras

- Audio-visual alarm systems

- Vehicle display screens

- Driver voice alert devices

How It Works

Panoramic surround cameras are installed on the front, rear, left, and right sides of the vehicle to collect surrounding data. This data is processed through the host's algorithm, producing a 360-degree image displayed on the monitor.

When the vehicle is in motion and someone enters the predefined danger zones around it, the cameras immediately detect the person. The warning signal is transmitted wirelessly to the alert system. Flashing red-and-blue lights activate, the display screen shows messages like "Person on the right," and the voice alarm system announces warnings such as, "Dangerous area—keep away."

By combining audio, visual, and electrical alerts, the system provides timely and accurate warnings to drivers, reminding them to avoid collisions. It also alerts pedestrians and nearby vehicles of approaching traffic, effectively reducing the risk of road accidents and strengthening urban road safety.

Features of the Blind Spot Monitoring and Warning System

1. Vehicle Detection:

The 360-degree panoramic system monitors the areas around the vehicle, including the sides and rear. It alerts drivers if other vehicles or pedestrians are detected.

2. Pedestrian Detection:

The system detects pedestrians, especially in high-risk areas like schools and parks, to prevent collisions.

3. Dynamic Lane Departure Warning:

The system monitors the vehicle's lane position in real time. If the vehicle veers out of its lane, it alerts the driver to correct their direction.

Functions of the In-Vehicle DVR System

1. Driver Behavior Monitoring:

The DSM Driver Behavior Monitoring System provides effective alerts for unsafe driving behaviors such as fatigue, smoking, phone usage, or distraction. It also uploads evidence to the platform for further analysis.

2. Intelligent Driving System (ADAS):

The ADAS Forward Lane Warning System supports alerts for lane departure, insufficient distance to other vehicles, and collision risks. It also uploads evidence to the platform.

3. 360-Degree Panoramic View:

The system combines four cameras to create a 360-degree panoramic image. This enables drivers to observe the vehicle's surroundings clearly and avoid risks caused by blind spots.

4. Blind Spot Detection:

BSD Blind Spot Monitoring supports pedestrian detection from any angle, including left-rear, left-front, right-front, or right-rear blind spots.

Advantages of the 360-Degree Panoramic Imaging Monitoring System

- Low False Alarm Rate:

The AI-powered algorithms can identify curbs, barriers, and greenery, effectively reducing false alarms and enhancing system practicality.

- High Recognition Accuracy (95%+):

Equipped with starlight sensors, the system accurately detects targets day or night.

The installation and use of the 360-Degree Panoramic Imaging Monitoring System provide drivers with real-time monitoring and warnings, offering a clearer view of the vehicle’s surroundings. This reduces accidents caused by blind spots. Additionally, the system alerts other road users to avoid the vehicle, lowering the risk of traffic incidents and contributing to safer roads.
