Why Do Commercial Vehicles Need an Industrial-Grade 4G Mobile DVR?

Industrial-grade MDVRs can withstand vehicle vibration, shock, and temperature changes, providing 360° coverage, remote video access, and AI safety warnings to help fleets mitigate risks, reduce claims, and improve operational efficiency.

Standard DVRs are designed for fixed environments like homes or offices and cannot cope with continuous vehicle vibrations and temperature fluctuations. The YUWEI Mobile DVR features a shock-absorbing slide-rail hard drive mount, a secure key lock, and a wide-temperature design, ensuring reliable recording in harsh environments.

According to a deployment case for one of our cross-provincial logistics fleets (in 2024), within 6 months of installing the YUWEI MDVR, at-fault claims dropped by 60%, and the accident rate decreased by approximately 35%. YUWEI 4G Mobile DVR Features

4-8 Channel 360° HD Recording

Supports up to 8 channels of 1080P camera inputs, covering the vehicle's surroundings and cabin to eliminate blind spots.

Commercial Vehicle Industrial-Grade 4G MObile DVR

The KC-4AN series mobile digital video recorder is compact and fully featured, supporting H.264/H.265 1080p/720p recording, utilizing HDD and SD card storage. Multiple 1080p HD cameras provide 360° coverage so no critical events are missed. The MDVR's video inputs and outputs transmit video, audio, and 12VDC power to connected devices, eliminating the need to separately power cameras and monitors.

GPS Fleet Tracking and Vehicle Diagnostics

Improve fleet efficiency and customer service levels through real-time GPS tracking, vehicle diagnostics, route planning, and navigation.

1.GPS Fleet Tracking: Stay on top of operations and driver behavior in real time.

2.Vehicle Diagnostics: Real-time diagnostics to maximize vehicle uptime and reduce costs.

3.Route Planning and Dispatch: Reduce costs while improving safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

AI Active Safety Warnings

AI computer vision automatically detects and alerts drivers to lane departures, forward collisions, smoking, unfastened seatbelts, mobile phone usage, and blind spot hazards, enabling proactive road safety management.

1.Lane Departure Warning: Automatically detects and warns the driver of the dangerous behavior of veering out of the lane.

2.Forward Collision Warning: Continuously scans the road ahead, detecting potential collisions and issuing warnings.

3.No Smoking: Identifies smoking behavior in the cabin and immediately issues a compliance alert.

4.Unfastened Seatbelt: Verifies driver safety compliance in real time.

5.Mobile Device Usage: Detects whether the driver is holding or using a mobile device while driving.

6.BSD Detection: Monitors vehicle blind spots in real time, identifying approaching vehicles or obstacles.

Real-Time Video Streaming and CMSV6 Fleet Management App

View live video and audio from any vehicle in real time over a secure cellular network, and track vehicle locations on a map.

4G and WiFi-enabled mobile DVR models are compatible with the CMSV6 Fleet Management App, which can be installed on mobile devices or tablets. Using the App, users can track the real-time location of vehicles on detailed maps, view live camera feeds, record videos, and take photos. System health alerts are sent via SMS or email, making it easy to identify engine start times and confirm that the DVR is powered on and functioning properly.

Advanced Video Compression H.265

H.265 doubles the recording time on the same SD card or hard drive and reduces mobile data costs by 50% during remote live viewing.

Whether the vehicle is in a rural area with a weak signal or on busy city streets, H.265 ensures smoother, clearer streaming and longer retention of forensic evidence without the need for hardware storage upgrades.

Alarm Input/Output and 10.1-Inch Android Touch Screen

All in-vehicle video recorders are equipped with alarm input and output interfaces, which can be connected to the vehicle's switchboard or buttons to trigger full-screen displays, start recording, capture images, or send notifications.

The 10.1-inch Android touch screen is designed specifically for MDVR interaction, supporting AHD input, map navigation, vehicle status displays, Bluetooth phone connectivity, and a multimedia player. The configuration menu is optimized for the monitor, allowing drivers to easily control it from the driver's seat.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the in-vehicle DVR camera system include a driver-facing dash cam?

It is up to you. We provide a touch screen dashboard monitor, positioned within the driver's line of sight, which functions similarly to a backup camera for quick viewing of live footage.

Do commercial vehicle cameras have a night vision mode?

Yes. The cameras are equipped with a night vision mode that activates infrared (IR) capabilities, paired with an automatic electronic shutter and automatic white balance. Visibility is enhanced in low-light conditions, making the footage almost as clear as during the day.

How many cameras can the MDVR support at most?

Up to 8 cameras can be connected per vehicle. It is generally recommended to use 4 to 5 cameras for optimal coverage. Five cameras provide comprehensive 360-degree coverage for trucks and vehicles, including one driver-facing dash cam. A 4-camera setup typically only includes a forward-facing dash cam and cannot record driver video.

What is the difference between a mobile DVR and a standard DVR?

Mobile digital video recorders are designed specifically for cars, trucks, buses, trains, or ships, and can withstand the vibrations, shocks, and temperature changes experienced during vehicle operation. Standard DVRs are intended for fixed environments such as homes, offices, or commercial spaces, and are not designed to endure the physical impacts of driving.

Why is a mobile DVR camera system so important for commercial fleets?

1.Provides video evidence to prevent fraudulent claims, clarify driver non-fault, and save money.

2.Enhances operational oversight with 360-degree visibility via internal and external cameras.

3.Detects dangerous driving behaviors to help tailor personalized driver training and improve engagement.

4.Instantly notifies drivers of potential hazards (e.g., lane departures or insufficient following distance) to reduce accidents.

5.Utilizes AI to monitor driver activities (e.g., mobile phone use, smoking, eating, or signs of fatigue) to ensure safer driving.
