Dash Cams Assist Northern Territory Fleet with GPS Tracking
Dash Camera Assist Northern Territory Fleet with GPS Tracking
Recently, a fleet of trucks in Australia's Northern Territory installed hundreds of smart dash cams from China's YUWEI. These compact devices, equipped with advanced recording and monitoring features, are transforming fleet operations. They will assist fleet managers in telematics and tracking management.
YUWEI's fleet camera system provides actionable safety intelligence based on video footage of driver and road incidents. Regardless of which IVMA platform the fleet chooses or the type of fleet it operates, YUWEI's safety-focused technology enables users to identify dangerous behaviors such as driver fatigue, tailgating, forward collision warnings, and other risky actions. It then assigns a score based on the level of risk.
Monitoring Trigger Events Without Telematics Devices
The YUWEI V8 also uses the G-sensor built into the camera hardware to monitor "trigger" events such as sudden braking, sharp turns, and collisions, without the need for telematics devices.
When potential hazardous events occur, the system can even alert the driver with in-cab voice warnings and send video clips combined with event data to fleet managers, allowing them to provide immediate and targeted driver guidance.
