Israel Sanitation Fleet Management System

According to the Annual Report on Municipal Solid Waste Managementreleased by the Israeli Ministry of Environmental Protection in March 2024, by the end of 2023 the total number of sanitation vehicles operating in Israel’s major cities (Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Haifa, Be’er Sheva, etc.) had reached about 8,700 units(including both full-time and part-time vehicles).

This represents an increase of approximately 21%compared to 7,200 vehicles in 2020. The growth has been mainly driven by:

Population expansion (Israel’s population reached about 9.7 million in 2023, up 5% from 2020).

Rising urban waste generation (average annual growth rate of about 3.5%).

Fleet Size & Vehicle Types (2023 Data)

1. Compactor Garbage Trucks: 3,200 units (36.8%)

Used for household and commercial waste collection. Equipped with compaction systems to reduce waste volume, ideal for high-frequency transportation.

2. Swing Arm Garbage Trucks: 1,800 units (20.7%)

Mainly used for transferring waste from small community stations. Flexible docking with fixed bins, commonly deployed in old city districts.

3. Road Sweepers (including combined sweeping/washing vehicles): 2,200 units (25.3%)

Responsible for mechanized cleaning of primary and secondary roads, as well as squares. Supports dry sweeping, wet sweeping, and washing.

4. Water/Dust Suppression Trucks: 800 units (9.2%)

Used for road dust suppression and landscape irrigation. Their frequency of use increases significantly during the hot summer months.

5. Garbage Transfer Trucks (large trailers): 500 units (5.7%)

Used for long-distance hauling between transfer stations and treatment plants, connecting front-end collection with end disposal.

6. Other Specialized Vehicles (snowplows, suction trucks, etc.): 200 units (2.3%)

Used in northern/highland cities for snow removal or for handling special pollutants such as oil spills and chemical leaks.

Intelligent, Safe & Efficient Operations

In urban sanitation, smart technology, safety, and operational efficiencyare the key pillars of industry upgrading.

The YUWEI Sanitation Vehicle Camera Systemdeploys all-scenario hardware to build an intelligent perception network, enabling a “Visualized + Intelligent” operating ecosystem.

 Garbage Truck Tracking management system

1. Camera System

① ADAS Camera(front-mounted): Provides lane departure warning, forward collision alert, and real-time processing of lane markings and vehicle distance.

② Reversing Camera(rear-mounted): Supports 1080P HD and night vision, automatically activates during reversing, reducing rear blind spot risks.

③ Right-Side Blind Spot Camera: Covers turning/lane-change blind zones with a wide-angle lens.

④ Waterproof Cameras: Installed on sides and operational modules; IP67-rated, designed for heavy rain, muddy environments, and monitoring working components.

⑤ Driver Status Monitoring (DSM) Camera: Infrared technology to detect fatigue or distraction; triggers combined sound-light alerts.

Through gigabit Ethernet, the multi-camera system creates a stereoscopic vision network, turning blind spots into “visible and controllable” areas.

2. Intelligent Interaction & Data Processing

① Main Host (CPU): High-performance embedded processor supporting multi-channel video decoding, AI algorithms (obstacle recognition, load calculation), and data storage.

② Microphone Array: Noise-reduction system for voice command input and ambient sound collection.

③ Audio-Visual Alarm System: LED strobe lights, buzzer, and synthesized voice alerts deliver dual-mode warnings in emergencies.

④ Display Screen (10.1-inch Touch Terminal): Industrial-grade screen integrating vehicle status, real-time video, and control interface; supports gesture and voice interaction.

3. Environmental Perception & Functional Expansion

① Force Sensors & Load Cells: Installed on lifting mechanisms and chassis. Monitor docking pressure to prevent mechanical damage and collect real-time load data to optimize loading efficiency and avoid overloading.

② Millimeter-Wave Radar: Works in fusion with camera data, significantly enhancing obstacle detection under low light, rain, or fog conditions.

4. Hardware Collaboration Value

The architecture delivers full-chain synergy:

① Safety: ADAS and blind spot cameras reduce road risks; DSM and alarms mitigate human errors; waterproof cameras ensure reliable operations in harsh conditions.

② Efficiency: Load sensors plus display screen optimize loading strategy; waterproof cameras monitor collection quality to avoid missed pickups.

③ Reliability: Industrial-grade components withstand high-frequency operations; main host supports OTA remote upgrades, continuously improving algorithm performance.
