Real-Time Video Monitoring Solution for Cranes
Video Monitoring Solution for Cranes
Cranes and special-purpose vehicles serve as the "lifeblood" of urban construction, but they are also the "giants" of the road. In recent years, traffic accidents caused by cranes and special vehicles have often been catastrophic. Due to their massive size and frequent operation, traditional crane operations rely on visual estimation by the operator. Any obstacles can easily create blind spots, posing significant safety hazards.
YUWEI Crane Video Monitoring System
1. Boom Head Camera:
During lifting operations, the crane boom’s length makes it difficult to see what is happening directly below it. Relying solely on intuition for lifting can lead to severe accidents. Traditional wired cameras require long cables, which can easily break during the boom's constant extension and retraction, rendering the equipment inoperable.
To address this, a wireless camera is installed at the boom head. Using a wireless module, real-time footage is transmitted to the YUWEI onboard monitoring system, which then displays it on the monitor in the driver’s cabin. This allows operators to have a clear view of the environment below the boom, significantly reducing the risk of accidents.
2. Right Blind Spot Camera:
When the crane turns right, the driver seated on the left side of the cabin cannot observe the ground area blocked by the right front pillar. This makes the positions covered by the pillar highly dangerous during turns.
3. Winch Camera:
The winch camera provides real-time monitoring to ensure the steel wire rope is intact and free from detachment, knots, twists, or breakage.
4. Rear Blind Spot Camera:
A wide-angle camera installed at the rear of the vehicle helps the driver eliminate blind spots when reversing, ensuring safer maneuvering.
