What is Rear View Camera (RVC) System?
Introduction
Drivers often struggle with seeing behind their vehicle while reversing, as the range of vision reflected in the rearview mirror is extremely limited. This can lead to accidents or injuries if the driver fails to notice small children, crouching adults, or low obstacles behind the vehicle. The RVC system offers a solution to reduce these situations. It helps to widen the driver's rearview range and make reversing easier and safer.
What is the RVC system?
The RVC, or Rear View Camera Display system, is a type of driving assistance system. It uses a camera installed on the rear door to convert the image behind the vehicle into an electrical signal, which is then converted into a video signal and transmitted to the display unit inside the car for assistance in reversing/parking.
How does the RVC system work?
Assistance lines can be added to the reversing image to help drivers visually judge the distance between the rear of the car and any obstacles behind it, enabling drivers to take measures before collisions occur and prevent accidents.
