360 Degree Camera for Truck

Large vehicles such as buses, trucks, lorries, and semi-trailers have significant blind spots due to their massive size, posing potential safety risks. For truck drivers, eliminating blind spots and receiving early warnings is a critical issue that needs to be addressed. As one of China's top ten commercial vehicle IoT product suppliers, YUWEI integrates the latest IoT technology, intelligent hardware solutions, and AI capabilities to introduce a 360-degree panoramic imaging monitoring system, helping large vehicles mitigate blind spot issues.

Introduction to the 360-Degree Panoramic Imaging Monitoring System

The YUWEI 360-degree panoramic imaging monitoring system consists of a vehicle intelligent host terminal, panoramic surveillance cameras, an audio-visual alarm, an onboard display, and a driver voice prompt device.

Working Principle:

Panoramic surveillance cameras are installed on the front, rear, left, and right sides of the vehicle to collect data around it. The host terminal processes this data using algorithms, ultimately displaying a 360-degree view on the screen. When the vehicle is in motion and a pedestrian enters the designated monitoring area, the cameras immediately capture the person, and a warning signal is transmitted wirelessly to the alert system. The red and blue flashing lights alternate, the warning display screen shows messages such as "Person on the right," and a voice alert synchronously announces "Danger! Keep away from the truck."

By combining sound, light, and electronic alerts, the warning system can accurately and promptly notify the driver to take evasive action. At the same time, it also warns pedestrians and nearby vehicles to be cautious, effectively reducing the risk of road traffic accidents and enhancing urban traffic safety.

Functions of the Blind Spot Detection and Warning System:

1. Vehicle Detection: The 360-degree panoramic imaging monitoring system continuously monitors the area around the vehicle, including the sides and rear. When other vehicles or pedestrians are detected, the system issues a warning.

2. Pedestrian Detection: The system identifies pedestrians and provides alerts, especially in areas with high pedestrian traffic, such as schools and parks, helping to prevent collisions.

3. Dynamic Lane Departure Warning: While driving, the system monitors whether the vehicle deviates from its lane. If lane departure is detected, a warning is issued to remind the driver to correct the vehicle’s direction.

Advantages of the 360-Degree Panoramic Imaging Monitoring System

- Low False Alarm Rate: The AI-powered smart algorithm can accurately identify curbs, barriers, and green belts, effectively reducing false alarms and enhancing system practicality.

- 95%+ Recognition Accuracy: Utilizing a starlight sensor, the system provides clear target identification in both daytime and nighttime conditions.

With the installation and use of the 360-degree panoramic imaging monitoring system, real-time monitoring and alerts allow drivers to have a clearer view of their surroundings, reducing collision incidents caused by blind spots. Additionally, this system warns other road users to stay alert and maintain a safe distance, further decreasing the risk of traffic accidents.
